The Chi-Lites were formed in 1959 at the Hyde Park High School in Chicago. They had several successful records in the early sixties, but became household names when Oh Girl reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1972.
The flip side Being In Love is a great sweet soul song written by Eugene Record and Barbara Acklin.
