The Royalettes were a four-girl group from Baltimore, Maryland formed by two sisters – Sheila and Anita Ross. Joined by Terry Jones and Veronica Brown, they recorded many sweet soul records in the 1960s.
River Of Tears released in 1968 became popular on the Northern Soul circuit. Nearly fifty years on, it sounds as good as ever.
